The skies are blue here at camp and there are a few beautiful clouds giving us some needed relief from the sun. This week is looking to warm up to 95 by Wednesday! Lake swimming and ice cream will be in order…
We are SO excited to have our Adventure campers here this week!!!
I unfortunately was not able to blog last week, but I will just say, the energy levels of Junior II were at a record high. I had the opportunity to play in the worship band at our final campfire on Saturday night. The kids were so loud and on fire with joy and life. We were drowned out with.
With every camper I have interacted with, my concept of the kingdom of God grows bigger and bigger. We were a full house last week but that’s the thing about God’s family: there is room for EVERYONE. And it is so beautiful.
The Adventure campers, short in stature yet not in spirit, will be frolicking through the wood chips here at camp this week as well as swimming through the blue refreshing water. We’re going to have an EPIC week.
This Friday, after campers leave, our staff will be packing up and heading down to the Portland area for Gladstone Camp meeting! We’ll be doing music on Sabbath and having a reunion with all Big Lake staff, past and present. We look forward to seeing you all there as well as for Tween week next Sunday!
May you see God today…
As we see him through these kids.
