Wow. Just wow.
I said some nice things at the start of last week about how God was gonna move. And I believed every word I wrote.
But I have been blown away by how REAL God is.
And by how much more He has done than I could have ever imagined or prayed for.
Teen I blew my mind.
I’ll be honest, I was a little scared. I’m 17 and still in high school. How are “teen” campers supposed to look up to me?
But this was by far the best. So many connections. So many God moments. So many friendships made that will change the course of lives.
I think my favorite tradition we have a Big Lake is the staff singing songs on the dock as the campers are on the shore of the swimming area during the baptisms each Sabbath. Our voices echo over the water and I am always overwhelmed with the joy of watching an individual give their life to Jesus.
It’s a scary concept. To give up your life.
But Jesus gives us so much more back then we ever could have had.
I know from experience. It’s a beautiful life.
A life of love…
Just don’t be afraid to get a little wet.
As of this week there has been 16 baptisms and 144 decisions for baptism here at Big Lake.
And those numbers will grow after this final week of Regular camp.
We would say that we’re doing a really great job.
But we aren’t the one calling these kids name’s.
It is God who calls them.
We are simply here to open their eyes. Here to help them listen.
To show them what is already here.
To show them the Love and Life that all things have come from and that is the only thing worth living for.
With that being said:
WE ARE SO LOOKING FORWARD TO TEEN II IT’S NOT EVEN FUNNY.
It’s currently 73 degrees and it’s supposed to stay nice the rest of the week.
We’re planning to finish off our set of Reg camps strong with Teen II and we are so blessed and grateful to be able to hang out with and connect with your kids.
