1 Corinthians 13:2 “And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.”
I love people. If you go and ask anyone what I’m like, they’ll tell you that I love how people are; I love their stories, their conversations, their accomplishments, their dreams, and their goals. For me, people always give me hope, because when I see them, I see God working within them. That’s pretty exciting! What I’ve learned is that God isn’t just looking for faith, He isn’t just searching for incredible accomplishments, or fantastic miracles. God is looking for people to come to Him, to be made new by Him, and to spread His love. He calls us to love first, and then do the other things.
Love never fails, love never changes, and it always restores us, it always heals us, and always builds us up. I love people because God first loved us, and God calls us to encourage and support those around us. This world has an awful habit of not being very kind, and so I think it should be our personal mission to spread a little happiness, help a person in need, and just love a bit more. Because without love, what are we doing? God is love, so let’s go and make a change, because with love you might just accomplish that.
