SAMM SHEPERD MEMORIAL

Samm was the beloved sailing instructor at Big Lake Youth Camp for two summers. He loved teaching the physics and the practical skills of sailing. He was a teacher and mentor to hundreds of kids. Campers and staff called him “Sailor Samm.”

The Samm Sheperd Fund supports the sailing program and other waterfront programs at Big Lake Youth Camp. These programs are designed to build leadership in young people. This fund helps to empower new generations of staff and campers at Big Lake by paying for necessary waterfront training and equipment. Giving to this tax-deductible fund honors his memory and his passion for teaching and empowering kids.
