Youth Camps

Big Lake’s regular (REG) camps feature our traditional camping programs available for youth ages 7-17. REG campers will be at camp Sunday-Friday. Adventure and Junior campers will not need to choose a morning activity, but will rotate through various activities each day. Evenings are full of fun group games and end with our awesome campfire program.

Big Lake Youth Camp and the Oregon Conference of Seventh-day Adventists are dedicated to helping every camper who would like to attend camp. The actual cost for a REG session of camp is $825. Thanks to the Oregon Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, the subsidized cost for each REG camper is only $634. If you choose to register for one of our REG Camps-Pay Actual or Subsidized Cost sessions, you will be given two payment options: 1-pay the actual cost of camp, or 2-pay the subsidized cost of camp. Choosing option 1 or 2 requires a $200 deposit to hold a camper’s reservation.

We understand that transportation can be a concern for parents, which is why we offer chartered bus transportation to/from Gladstone/Portland and Salem. Our buses are safe and reliable, ensuring a comfortable journey for your child. Please note that spaces are limited, so we encourage you to save a spot for your camper by selecting bus transport during registration. The cost is $69 eachway. Unless otherwise noted, bus drop-off and pick-up in Portland area will be at the Oregon Conference Headquarters, 19800 Oatfield Rd, Gladstone and East Salem SDA Church, 5775 Fruitland Rd NE, Salem.

Gladstone Friday pick-up on July 10 & July 17 will be at Rivergate Adventist Elementary School, 1550 Rivergate School Rd, Gladstone. This is due to high parking lot traffic for Oregon Conference Spanish/English Camp Meetings.

Gladstone Sunday drop-off on July 12 & July 19 will be at the Gladstone Park Church, 8378 Cason Rd, Gladstone. This is due to high parking lot traffic for Oregon Conference Spanish/English Camp Meetings.

Salem Sunday drop-off and Friday pick-up will be at the East Salem Adventist Church, 5575 Fruitland Rd NE, Salem.

Cabin Mate Requests

Friends attending camp at the same time will each need to make the request during registration, by filling in their friend’s first and last name(s) for that specific question. For our Adventure and Junior camps, every effort is made to accommodate requests, but we cannot make guarantees. For our Tween and Teen camps, campers need to be taking the SAME morning activity to be housed in the same cabin.

Camp Check-in and Pick-up

Our camper check-in and check-out times are assigned by cabins. Watch your email for specific times for your camper about 2-3 days before your reservation. But plan on these time ranges: Sunday 2:00-5:00 PM and Friday pick-up 1:00-2:30 PM.

If you are dropping off a REG camper and a RAD camper the same Sunday, you may drop off your REG camper at the earlier RAD camper time.
