Building a New Home for Creativity and Adventure
Big Lake’s art cabin has served generations of campers both as a clinic, then as an art space. However, it’s time to give this beloved space new life! The building is no longer functional for indoor use. We are raising funds to rebuild the art cabin into a two-level facility designed to serve campers for decades to come.
The upper level will be a bright, functional space dedicated to arts, ceramics, and crafts. This will give campers room to paint, sculpt, build, and create without the contstraints of our current cramped quarters. Proper ventilation, workspace, and storage will let our art program grow and thrive.
The lower level will house gear and space to launch our RAD Camps program. This will provide organized, accessible storage for the equipment that equipts our off-site trips and outdoor adventures. No more scattered gear or last-minute scrambling; instead, a dedicated space that keeps campers ready for whatever adventure comes next.
This cabin will support two of camp’s most treasured programs under one roof: creative expression above, outdoor adventure below. Your gift will help us build a space that inspires the next generation of campers for years to come.

Our medical volunteers give of their time, their skills, and often their comfort to keep our camp community healthy and cared for. It’s time we give something back: a new cabin built just for them!
This project will replace our aging medical staff housing with a modern cabin featuring four separate living spaces, each offering privacy and rest after long days of caring for campers and staff. Indoor bathrooms will replace outdated facilities, bringing much-needed comfort and convenience. And with the cabin located close to the clinic, our medical team will have quick, easy access when they’re needed most, because in an emergency, seconds matter.
Beyond camp season, this cabin will continue giving back. The living spaces will be available for rent during the winter months, creating a new source of sustainable income to support camp operations year-round.
This is more than a building, it’s an investment in the people who keep our campers safe, and in the long-term health of camp itself.

Creating a Brand New Climbing Center
It’s time to transform an aging cabin at Big Lake into something campers have never experienced before: a full-scale rock-climbing center.
This new facility will feature six auto belay systems, giving campers a safe, exciting way to challenge themselves, build confidennce, and reach literal new heights. For many campers, this will be their first time ever trying rock climbing, and it will quickly become one of the most memorable parts of their summer.
But the impact won’t stop when summer ends. Designed for year-round use, the center will also be available for rent during the winter months, creating a new stream of sustainable income to support camp for years to come.
This is a chance to build something entirely new at Big Lake. It will be a place where campers push past what they thought they could do, one climb at a time.

Rebuilding the Heart of Big Lake (Docks)
For generations, the docks at Big Lake are where so many camp memories are made. It is the launching point for every waterfront activity that makes this place special. It is also a rite of passage for so many kids as they learn to swim, sail, canoe, wakeboard or ski.
But our docks are showing their age. Years of sun, water and constant use have taken their toll, and what was once sturdy is now breaking down regularly, creating safety concerns and putting one of camp’s most beloved spaces at risk.
We are raising funds to rebuild the docks at Big Lake from the ground up, using durable cedar decking built to withstand the elements and the energy of thousands of camper feet for years to come. This isn’t just a repair, it’s an urgent investment in the safety and longevity of our waterfront, ensuring campers can keep making memories here for generations.
