Preteen Camps (ages 7-13)

**For the summer of 2021 all camps will run Sunday through Friday

 

Adventure Camp (ages 7-9) | $504

This preteen camp is designed to introduce younger children into the world of summer camping. Adventure camp offers a slower pace and Adventure campers get a taste of everything Big Lake is about; they will get to try them all!

Junior Camp  (ages 10-12) | $504

Big Lake’s other preteen camps feature our traditional camping programs available for youth ages 10-17. For the summer of 2021, preteen campers will not choose a morning activity, but will get to try out various activities throughout their day, including the Big Lake Mall, blob, and Sea Wolf. Evenings are full of fun group games and end with our awesome Campfire program. The preteen camp daily schedule allows campers to enjoy all that Big Lake has to offer.

RAD Horse Extreme Junior $534

RAD Horse Camp is new to Big Lake this year! Based on Big Lake’s campus but structured more like a RAD camp, campers will spend several hours each day with the horses—learning to ride, take care of them, and communicate effectively. Campers will stay in nice tents closer to the barn, and will have access to their own shower facilities.

Tween Camp (ages 11-13) | $504

Based on Big Lake’s campus but structured more like a RAD camp, campers will spend several hours each day with the horses—learning to ride, take care of them, and communicate effectively. Campers will stay in nice tents closer to the barn, and will have access to their own shower facilities.

Teen Camps (ages 13-17)

Teen Camps  | $504

These teen camps feature our traditional camping programs available for youth ages 13-17. For the summer of 2021, campers will not select only one activity to focus each morning, they will get to rotate through Big Lake’s various activities morning and afternoon, including the Big Lake Mall, blob, and Sea Wolf. Evenings are full of fun group games and end with our awesome Campfire program. The camps’ daily schedule allows campers to enjoy all that Big Lake has to offer.

RAD Advanced Rock Climbing | $559

August 8-13

Take your climbing skills to the next level with Advanced Rock Climbing RAD. This camp will better your climbing technique, plus you will have the opportunity to learn skills such as anchor systems, knots and belaying that will ready you for climbing on your own. This off-site camp takes place at the most popular climbing location in the northwest, Smith Rock State Park. Your week will also include a fun day of rafting the Deschutes River. Climbing shoes and harness provided, but you are welcome to bring your own.

RAD High Desert Wakesports 1 & 2 | $604

July 18-23 & July 25-30

The High Desert Wakesports camp is a powerful time spent in the summer sun behind some of the best boats in the world. You’ll boat in to a rustic campsite where you’ll spend your time learning new tricks of the trade from experienced and savvy instructors. This camp features spectacular wakeboarding, waterskiing, wakesurfing and even barefooting. It is designed for the fun-lovers that want to sharpen their water skills and build life-long friendships along the way. This camp takes place off-site at one of Central Oregon’s desert lakes. 

RAD Mountain Biking | $624

July 11-16

Gear up with our sweet bikes, or bring your own, for this time of riding high alpine trails and rugged desert tracks. With top quality instruction, you will be taught the skills you need to become a legend!—or at least a much stronger rider.

RAD Rock Climbing | $559

July 11-16

Rock Climbing RAD is an introduction to some of the best climbing in the country. Learn the basics of safe climbing at Smith Rock State Park and enjoy an awesome tent camping experience. Your week will include a day of rafting the Deschutes River. Climbing shoes and harness provided, or bring your own! Rock Climbing RAD to Staff option available.

Ultimate RAD | $584

July 18-23

Not to be taken lightly, this camp stretches even our fittest campers. It shouldn’t be attempted unless you are in good shape. Get ready for a week of challenging rock climbing, epic rafting, scenic mountain biking and legendary mountain climbing. Test your skills, improve your knowledge, and have some unbelievable fun.

RAD Wakesports 1, 2 & 3 | $554

July 11-16, August 1-6, & August 8-13

Our wakesports camps have it all: waterskiing, wakeboarding, wakesurfing, barefooting and other new and exciting wake sports! Spend your mornings and afternoons enjoying the clear waters of Big Lake while trying out a variety of exciting water wake sports. Our experienced instructors are prepared to help you achieve your wake sport goals.

RAD White Water Rafting 1 & 2  | $604

July 25-30 & August 1-6

Epic rapids, immense flat-water pools, and surprising adventures fill each and every moment while you learn venerable buccaneering skills on the Deschutes River. Let our experienced Swift Water Guides take you on an exhilarating journey through the basics of learning to tame gnarly water and burly waves. Outfitted by River Drifters out of Maupin, OR, our experienced RAD camp staff will guide two rafts down 100 miles of the Deschutes River, ending at the Columbia River. Tent camp along the way!

Family Camps (all ages)

Family Camps

Registration opens Sunday, February 20, 2022 at 8 a.m.

Family Camp makes it possible for your family to truly have a vacation from planning meals or activities. Our family camp includes 4 nights and 5 days of outdoor fun, meals, and programming. Each day you have the option to play in the water and on land, and compete in canoe races, horseshoe, or basketball shoot-outs. You and your family can sail across our pristine lake, use our latest water-ski/wakeboard equipment, hike up the Pacific Crest Trail, mountain bike, and horseback ride. You and your family can participate in activities together, or we offer free child care for kids ages 4-6. To top off the day, join us for an evening program of singing, awards, and plays. The cost of Family Camp includes meals, activities, and accommodations. Our meals are vegetarian, homemade, and delicious. Reside with your family in a range of accommodations in one of our rustic A-frame cabins, new cabins, tents, or your own RV. Family Camp is a great, affordable way to enjoy nature, experience outdoor activities, and reconnect with your family. Come join us for this exciting adventure!

Check-in for Family Camp is before supper on your first day of camp. No bus transportation is available during Family Camps.

Here’s what our 2021 pricing structure will look like:

A-frame cabin – $620 base price (includes 4 people and $75 non-refundable fee). There are 6 A-frames with a max of 6 people, 5 A-frames with a max of 8 people, and 1 A-frame with a max of 7 people. Additional occupants (those beyond the number included in the base price), up to maximum allowed for the space, will bill at the following rates: $175 ages 13+, $135 ages 6-12, $115 ages 2-5, FREE ages 0-2.

Older cabin – $670 base (includes 4 people and $75 non-refundable fee).  There are 4 cabins with a max of 6 people, 2 cabins with a max of 8 people, and 3 units with a max of 14 people. Additional occupants (those beyond the number included in the base prict), up to maximum allowed for the space, will bill at the following rates: $189 ages 13+, $149 ages 6-12, $129 ages 2-5, FREE ages 0-2.

New cabin – $720 base (includes 4 people and $75 non-refundable fee). There are 5 new cabins with a max of 6 people, 5 new cabins with a max of 8 people, and 5 new cabins with a max of 14 people. Additional occupants (those beyond the number included in the base price), up to maximum allowed for the space, will bill at the following rates: $219 ages 13+, $169 ages 6-12, $149 ages 2-6, FREE ages 0-2.

Headquarters rooms (without attached bathroom) – $420 base (includes 2 people and $75 non-refundable fee). There are 6 units with a max of 2 occupants, and 2 units with a max of 3.  Additional occupants for the two units which allow 3, will bill at the following rates: $219 ages 13+, $179 ages 6-12, $159 ages 2-6, FREE ages 0-2.

Headquarters rooms (with attached bathroom) – $520 base (includes 2 people and $75 non-refundable fee).  Since the max for these units is only 2 people, no additional occupants are available for purchase.

Hillside – $1,020 (includes 6 people and $75 non-refundable fee). Additional occupants (those beyond the number included in the base price), up to maximum allowed for the space, will bill at the following rates: $209 ages 13+, $169 ages 6-12, $149 ages 2-6, FREE ages 0-2.

RV sites – $420 base (includes 4 people and $75 non-refundable fee). Additional occupants (those beyond the number included in the base price), up to maximum allowed for the space, will bill at the following rates: $175 ages 13+, $135 ages 6-12, $115 ages 2-6, FREE ages 0-2.

Big Lake trailer – $420 base (includes 4 people and $75 non-refundable fee). This unit is only for 2 adults and 2 toddlers as space is limited.

Bring your own tent – $320 base (includes 2 people and $75 non-refundable fee). Additional occupants (those beyond the number included in the base price), up to maximum number who can fit into your text and who can fit on the 10×10 space, will bill at the following rates: $170 ages 13+, $130 ages 6-12, $110 ages 2-6, FREE ages 0-2.

Day campers – $155 ages 13+, $125 ages 7-12, $95 ages 3-6, FREE ages 0-2. These prices include a $75 non-refundable fee and access to all BLYC’s activities and programing, plus 3 meals a day. Options for overnight lodging might include the state campground across the lake or staying in the town of Sisters, Oregon which is about 25 minutes away from camp.
