Adventure Camp (ages 7-9)   ⁄  $589

This preteen camp is designed to introduce younger children into the world of summer camping. Adventure camp offers a slower pace and Adventure campers get a taste of everything Big Lake is about; they will get to try them all!

Junior Camps  (ages 10-12)  ⁄  $589

Big Lake’s other preteen camps feature our traditional camping programs available for youth ages 10-12. Preteen campers will not choose a morning activity, but will get to try out various activities throughout their day, including the Big Lake Mall, blob, and Sea Wolf. Evenings are full of fun group games and end with our awesome Campfire program. The preteen camp daily schedule allows campers to enjoy all that Big Lake has to offer.

Tween Camps (ages 13-17)  ⁄  $589

RAD Camps (ages 13- 17)

RAD Leadership Academy  (ages 15-17) ⁄ $215

Leadership Academy campers will join our Big Lake staff for the last few days of staff training to participate in some outstanding leadership training and get a taste of several different areas of camp. This may be the best way yet for 15- to 17-year-olds to learn what it’s like to be a staff member at Big Lake. 

RAD Advanced Rock Climbing  ⁄  $648

July 16 – 21, 2023

Take your climbing skills to the next level with Advanced Rock Climbing RAD. This camp will better your climbing technique, plus you will have the opportunity to learn skills such as anchor systems, knots and belaying that will ready you for climbing on your own. This off-site camp takes place at the most popular climbing location in the northwest, Smith Rock State Park. Your week will also include a fun day of rafting the Deschutes River. Climbing shoes and harness provided, but you are welcome to bring your own.

RAD High Desert Wakesports 1 & 2  ⁄  $696

The High Desert Wakesports camp is a powerful time spent in the summer sun behind some of the best boats in the world. You’ll boat into a rustic campsite where you’ll spend your time learning new tricks of the trade from experienced and savvy instructors. This camp features spectacular wakeboarding, waterskiing, wakesurfing and even barefooting. It is designed for the fun-lovers that want to sharpen their water skills and build life-long friendships along the way.  

RAD Mountain Biking  ⁄  $717

Gear up with our sweet bikes, or bring your own, for this time of riding high alpine trails and rugged desert tracks. With top quality instruction, you will be taught the skills you need to become a legend!—or at least a much stronger rider.

RAD Rock Climbing  ⁄  $648

Rock Climbing RAD is an introduction to some of the best climbing in the country. Learn the basics of safe climbing at Smith Rock State Park and enjoy an awesome tent camping experience. Your week will include a day of rafting the Deschutes River. Climbing shoes and harness provided, or bring your own!

Not to be taken lightly, this camp stretches even our fittest campers. It shouldn’t be attempted unless you are in good shape. Get ready for a week of challenging rock climbing, epic rafting, scenic mountain biking and legendary mountain climbing. Test your skills, improve your knowledge, and have some unbelievable fun.

Our wakesports camps have it all: waterskiing, wakeboarding, wakesurfing, barefooting and other new and exciting wake sports! Spend your mornings and afternoons enjoying the clear waters of Big Lake while trying out a variety of exciting water wake sports. Our experienced instructors are prepared to help you achieve your wake sport goals.

RAD White Water Rafting 1, 2 & 3   ⁄  $696

Epic rapids, immense flat-water pools, and surprising adventures fill each and every moment while you learn venerable buccaneering skills on the Deschutes River. Let our experienced Swift Water Guides take you on an exhilarating journey through the basics of learning to tame gnarly water and burly waves. Outfitted by River Drifters out of Maupin, OR, our experienced RAD camp staff will guide two rafts down 100 miles of the Deschutes River, ending at the Columbia River. Tent camp along the way!

Family Camps

Family Camp 1: August 16 – 20, 2023
Family Camp 2: August 23 – 27, 2023

Family Camp makes it possible for your family to truly have a vacation from planning meals or activities. Our family camp includes 4 nights and 5 days of outdoor fun, meals, and programming. Each day you have the option to play in the water and on land, and compete in canoe races, horseshoe, or basketball shoot-outs. You and your family can sail across our pristine lake, use our latest water-ski/wakeboard equipment, hike up the Pacific Crest Trail, mountain bike, and horseback ride. You and your family can participate in activities together, or we offer free child care for kids ages 4-6. To top off the day, join us for an evening program of singing, awards, and plays. The cost of Family Camp includes meals, activities, and accommodations. Our meals are vegetarian, homemade, and delicious. Reside with your family in a range of accommodations in one of our rustic A-frame cabins, new cabins, tents, or your own RV. Family Camp is a great, affordable way to enjoy nature, experience outdoor activities, and reconnect with your family. Come join us for this exciting adventure!

Check-in for Family Camp is before supper on your first day of camp. No bus transportation is available during Family Camps.

Back Half New Cabins (8 max)

  • These beautiful new downstairs cabin spaces boast cedar siding interiors, laminate floors and single level sleeping area.

Front Half New Cabins (6 max)

  • $909 includes 4 people

Hillside (8 max)

  • $1,493 includes 6 people

  • Hillside has no stairs and includes a kitchenette and bathroom.

  • This room offers a queen bed and private full bath.

Headquarters (2 max)

  • This room offers bunk beds with access to communal restrooms and showers.

BLYC Trailer (2 adults, 2 small kids max)

  • $487 includes 2 people
  • This RV has space for 2 adults and 2 small children. Includes a small bathroom and kitchenette.

RV Spaces

  • $650 includes 4 people
  • $146 additional person/people up to the maximum for your RV
  • These RV spaces are located by the sports field and offer electricity and water hookups only. No sewer hook up.

Tent Spaces (4 max)

  • $357 includes 3 people
  • $103 additional person
  • Want your own private space? Bring your own tent. You will need to make use of our shared bathrooms and showers in the girls’ village. Tent sites are located in the girls’ village on a flat bed of wood chips.

Upstairs Older Cabin (14 max)

  • $1,298 includes 6 people
  • $168/additionall person/people up to the maximum for the space
  • A step up from an A-Frame are our single-level older cabins. Built in the late 80’s, early 90’s, with newly updated LED lighting and laminate flooring, these cabins offer one large sleeping area, perfect for family groups up to 14 people.

Day campers

  •  $168 ages 13+, ages 12 and under FREE. These prices include a $75 non-refundable fee and access to all BLYC’s activities and programing, plus 3 meals a day. Options for overnight lodging might include the state campground across the lake or staying in the town of Sisters, Oregon which is about 25 minutes away from camp.

The following cabins will be rented as one whole unit, with no divisions.

Rustic Option – A-Frame (14  )

  • $1,006 includes 6 people
  • $152 additional person/people up to the maximum for the space
  • This is a very rustic cabin! If you want to experience the true nostalgia of a rustic cabin, these are for you! These are 2-story cabins, and both stories are yours to explore.

Ground-Level Older Cabins (14 max)

  • $1,298 includes 6 people
  • $168 additional person/people up to the maximum for the space
